Production Statement

The theme of my research in concept book is the development and integration of Chinese traditional culture. Modern design and the development of culture have led to a certain degree of cultural loss, and some young people are increasingly neglecting traditional Chinese culture. I hope to publicize the traditional Chinese culture through the study of this theme and conduct an in-depth study of the traditional Chinese culture and modern technology, design and aesthetic trend.

 

In design project 2, I hope to integrate more modern and external design aesthetics without changing the core of Chinese traditional culture. I try to publicize Chinese traditional culture in this way, and express that culture has no boundaries, and the collision and combination of cultures will bring people unexpected surprises.

 

I plan to make a handbag. It will be made of Tyvek, transparent plastic cloth and imitation metal fabric. This handbag combines elements of traditional Chinese embroidery, master bead embroidery and ink painting to show the collision and development of traditional Chinese culture and other cultures. Tassels and organza are mainly used in the decoration of the handbag. Tassels are typical Chinese traditional design elements. Making the organza dyed with ink into the appearance of flowers will make the handbag full of European design beauty.

 

In a word, I hope to express the development and change of Chinese traditional culture in modern times through the design method of cultural integration.

 

In the last part of the show, I plan to first shoot several close-ups of models carrying bags and then make posters for display. And display a carpetbag entity on a platform.
